Borgu Mass Abduction: Police Move into Niger State
The Nigeria Police has launched a massive joint rescue operation to track down and safely recover the worshippers abducted by terrorists in the Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State.
This seems to be a direct response to President Bola Tinubu’s directive on Wednesday.
The deployment is led by the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone 7, Victor Olaiya.
Tactical Units and Aerial Surveillance Mobilised
Specialized tactical units and surveillance helicopters for aerial tracking have been deployed for the operations, according to Police Public Relations Officer Superintendent Wasiu Abiodun.
He explained that the operation is very delicate due to the number of civilians involved.
