Obaseki, Wike Mourn late PDP chieftain Dan Orbih
Condolence messages are pouring in for a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Dan Orbih.
He was a close political ally of the FCT minister Nyesom Wike.
Former Governor of Edo State Godwin Obaseki described him as an influential voice in Edo State who provided leadership to the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) as its State Chairman and subsequently served as the PDP National Vice Chairman, South South.
“Chief Orbih’s long years of engagement in public affairs earned him a place in the political history of Edo State, and his passing represents a significant loss to the state and the nation,” Obaseki wrote.
Also, Mininster of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has mourned the death of his friend and ally, saying he will be missed by all.
In a statement issued on his behalf by his spokesman, Lere Olayinka, Wike said, “Dan Osi Orbih was everything anyone could desire in friendship and political associate. But we can’t question God; He gives and He takes.”
He prayed to God to comfort his family.
Orbih is survived by his wife, Florence, his children, and extended family members.
