Nigerian troops rescued 393 kidnapped victims, neutralised 102 terrorists, and arrested more than 345 suspects during operations across the country in July, the Defence Headquarters has said.
Director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Michael Onoja, disclosed the figures at the Defence Headquarters’ monthly briefing.
The military said troops also recovered a large cache of weapons and ammunition across seven operational theaters.
In June, troops rescued 542 kidnapped persons, neutralised 129 terrorists, and arrested 486 suspected criminals and collaborators for profiling.
Onoja said the military would sustain operations against terrorists and other criminal elements threatening national security.
