“I look forward to deepening ties between the two nations in my capacity as the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the State of Israel,” Ufochukwu stated. She added that Nigeria is committed to expanding cooperation with Israel for the mutual benefit of both nations.
Strategic Priorities for Nigeria-Israel Ties
Ambassador Ufochukwu outlined six critical pillars that will guide her diplomatic tenure. These include trade and investment, agriculture and food security, technology and innovation, as well as defence and security.
The Nigerian envoy noted
Israel’s innovative farming techniques have helped enhance food systems and its high-tech counter-terrorism capabilities.
President Herzog welcomed the new Nigerian envoy, expressing Israel’s strong readiness to collaborate. He specifically emphasized shared interests in tech innovation and global counter-terrorism strategies.
