President Bola Tinubu has announced the complete fulfillment of all reward packages promised to members of Nigeria’s women’s basketball team.

The comprehensive reward scheme also includes the conferral of National Honours and the deed allocation of three-bedroom residential properties in Abuja. In an official statement, President Tinubu clarified that the implementation process strictly adhered to statutory legal guidelines to ensure transparent and proper execution.
He noted that this milestone represents the first instance in which a federal government has fully discharged presidential sporting rewards of this magnitude within a single calendar year.
Furthermore, the president disclosed that the administration is concluding final cash disbursements to the Super Falcons.
The women’s national football team players and officials have already taken possession of their property title documents and National Honours certificates.
Similar commitments regarding housing and national recognition for the Super Eagles have also been successfully concluded.
President Tinubu emphasized that Nigerian athletes who elevate the nation’s global standing merit institutional fidelity rather than mere applause, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to honouring its word.
