2027: APM Demands INEC Publish Uncollected PVC Breakdown Amid APC Hijack Allegations
ABUJA — Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has challenged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to fully disclose its security protocols and publish an audited, state-by-state inventory of millions of unclaimed Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
The demand follows allegations leveled by the party that rogue INEC officials are scheming to divert the uncollected voting cards into the hands of All Progressives Congress (APC) operatives to rig the upcoming polls.
Richard Ihediwa, speaking for the APM campaign, cautioned that failing to secure these cards leaves room for unauthorized users to infiltrate voting centers and compromise ballots.
The opposition party maintained that structural transparency before the first ballot is cast is the only way to safeguard public trust.
“We are moving past the era of accepting late explanations,” the statement read, emphasizing that proactive transparency is non-negotiable.
The APM called on local civil society groups and international democratic observers to mount pressure on INEC while urging citizens to proactively police their local polling units against fraudulent activity on election day.
