OSUN 2026: 81.50% of PVCs Collected
Ahead of the August 15, 2026, Osun governorship election, INEC has announced that 1,906,390 Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) have been collected, representing 81.50% of registered voters.
The remaining 432,843 uncollected cards are said to be secured with the Central Bank of Nigeria, while 6,101 voters applied for replacements.
The update is contained in a statement signed by Mohammed Kudu Haruna, INEC’s National Commissioner and chairman of the Information and Voter Education Committee.

The commission also explained that it has taken steps toward PVC transparency. “A table of the PVCs collected, Polling Unit by Polling Unit (PU), has been published on the Commission’s website,” according to Haruna.
The Commission expressed “total readiness to conduct a free, fair, credible, transparent, and inclusive election on Saturday, 15th August”
