The CEO of Brookfield Group Holdings, Olatunji Adebola, has been hit by a criminal charge over alleged fraud to the tune of N990m.
Adebola, who has the moniker of ‘Whitelion,’ has been under investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Adebola isn’t the only one being prosecuted. His Brookfield Mining Limited company is also listed in the charge for alleged conspiracy, dishonest appropriation of funds, and obtaining money by false pretence.
He was granted bail after pleading not guilty and is to be released after meeting the bail conditions and is to return to court on September 15, 2026, for trial.
