Atiku Slams Tinubu’s Vacation: “Nigeria is Burning, and the President Chose a Boarding Pass Over a Fire Extinguisher”
Former Vice President and Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) Presidential Candidate,Atiku Abubakar, has strongly criticized President Bola Tinubu’s three-week European vacation, warning that Nigeria is facing a disturbing vacuum of political leadership during a severe national crisis.
While acknowledging there is no strict constitutional crisis, Atiku highlighted a severe lack of leadership judgment given the current state of the nation.
The ADC presidential candidate noted that while private citizens have the freedom to travel, a sitting President carries an absolute responsibility to his nation.
A Total Leadership Vacuum
Atiku believes that with the Vice President also currently abroad on official duty, the decision of the President to leave the country unattended is highly questionable and insensitive, particularly with the economic reality of ordinary citizens.
He promised to change the situation. “Tinubu made Nigeria expensive. I will make Nigeria affordable again,” Atiku stated.
