2027 Presidency: Governor Seyi Makinde Releases Campaign Team, Appoints Felix Hassan Hyat as DG
Former Minister of State for Aviation, Felix Hyat, will lead the Allied People’s Movement (APM) National Presidential Campaign Management Committee for the 2027 election of Governor Seyi Makinde and Lawal Daura.
A list of the campaign council released shows that Hyat, who previously served as the Kaduna State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), will head the national management structure of the Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign Organisation.
His primary mandate is to drive the party’s “Reset Nigeria” agenda across the country ahead of the polls.
Key Appointments to the Campaign Team
According to a statement released on September 30, 2026, by Makinde’s Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communication, Anthony Ehilebo, several other top political figures have been named to crucial positions within the committee:
- Deputy Director-General (Administration): Hajia Inna Ciroma (Former Minister of Women Affairs)
- Deputy Director-General (Operations): Hon. Dr. Anthony Aziegbemi
To ensure comprehensive strategy and grassroots mobilization, directors were also appointed to manage specialized units within the campaign:
- Contact and Mobilisation: Hamza Akuyam Koshe
- Legal and Compliance: Barrister Mark Jacob
- Administration and Strategy: Ade Adeagbo
- Strategic Communications: Richard Ihediwa
- Finance: Yusuf Ismaila Alkali
- Volunteers, Special Interests, & Support Groups: Emmanuel Dennis
- Security and Intelligence: Alhaji Suleiman Hussaini Kankia
- Deputy Director (Security and Intelligence): CP Babangida Ayuba John (Rtd)
- Women’s Coordination: Toyin Balogun
- Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting, & Documentation: Umar Bida Ndabrama
- Youth Coordination: Armstrong Adah
- Organisation and Coordination: Adeyemi Moyegun
The newly formed campaign council will work closely with high-ranking party leadership, including the APM National Leader and Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, alongside APM National Chairman Yusuf Mamman Dantalle.
The APM leadership has noted that supplementary appointments will be disclosed in due course. The party urged all members and support groups to remain dedicated as they begin unified efforts toward securing victory in 2027.
