Tinubu Hosts Nigerian Delegation in Makkah, Prays for Unity and Economic Growth

President Bola Tinubu has declared Nigeria’s rich ethnic, religious, and cultural diversity a structural foundation for economic prosperity rather than a source of division.

The President made the assertion on Sunday during a dinner hosted for the Nigerian delegation in the holy city of Makkah, Saudi Arabia, on Sunday, November 1.

President Tinubu said he prayed for the transformation of the nation’s differences into a collective force for peace, unity, and sustainable development, urging citizens both at home and abroad to embrace mutual understanding and a shared commitment to national progress.

“May Almighty Allah bless Nigeria and convert our diversity into prosperity as a country,” President Tinubu prayed, noting that the country’s vast human talent, creativity, and natural resources are more than sufficient to build an inclusive economy.

Abdulsamad Rabiu, the chairman of BUA Group, who joined the delegation, reaffirmed the private sector’s commitment to supporting the administration’s economic vision. He noted that the delegation has used the pilgrimage to pray extensively for Nigeria’s peace and prosperity.

Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State and chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum, emphasized the role of the subnationals in implementing the President’s governance reforms and goals, while Prince Lateef Fagbemi SAN, the Attorney-General of the Federation, pledged to ensure justice continues to deliver equitable governance to all Nigerians, regardless of their background.

The strategic dinner served as a forum for fellowship and reflection on Nigeria’s current development trajectory.

Others present included the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare Professor Mohammed Ali Pate, and Oando Plc CEO Mr. Wale Tinubu.
