President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday morning performed the Umrah (lesser pilgrimage) in the holy city of Makkah, Saudi Arabia, where he offered special prayers for sustainable peace, national unity, and economic progress in Nigeria.
Speaking with journalists immediately after the prayers, President Tinubu emphasized that his participation in the pilgrimage reflects his deep dedication to the Nigerian people and his leadership responsibilities.
“I believe this Umrah is very significant for the love of our people, commitment to the job and our country, Nigeria,” the President stated. “I am grateful to Allah for being able to perform this Umrah. We have just prayed for our nation, for everyone to live in peace and harmony, happiness, and faith in God Almighty.”
With Nigeria currently navigating economic reforms and persistent security challenges, the President asked for divine wisdom for the country’s leadership. He prayed for a strengthened bond of brotherhood among citizens and requested lasting relief from insecurity.
