FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has sent social media into a frenzy after declaring that the Osun State governorship election would have been different if he were there.
The Minister made the comments at a media briefing on Tuesday, on his resumption of work from holidays.
Wike also claimed the ACCORD party and Governor Adeleke won because President Bola Tinubu decided not to deploy federal might. “If the president had wanted to win the Osun State election at all costs, I would have been involved and I would have been there and the governor would have known that it would have been different”, Wike told journalists.
He acknowledged that the APC’s defeat is a confirmation of President Tinubu’s democratic credentials and not weak political influence.
