Nigeria will for the first time participate in the beach volleyball event at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

This follows a resounding win against Morocco at the 2026 African Beach Volleyball Championship in Alexandria, Egypt.

The Pamela Bawa and Esther Mbah duo won in straight sets, 21-18, 21-10, overcoming previous tournament losses and marking a historic breakthrough for the country in the sport.
