Carla Jeffery, ‘Zombies’ Actress, Passes Away at Age 33

Carla Jeffery, the Disney Channel actress known for her memorable role as the bubbly cheerleader Bree in the Zombies movie franchise, has passed away at the age of 33.

Her manager, Carla Alexander, shared the news via Instagram, remembering Jeffery as a vibrant and deeply talented individual who was considered part of their family for over 20 years.

A specific cause of death has not been publicly released.

Background and Career

Jeffery built a dynamic and diverse acting career that spanned over two decades, beginning when she was just a child.

She signed with management at age 12 and made her feature film debut in the 2006 comedy Phat Girlz, portraying a young version of the main character played by Mo’Nique.

Jeffery captured the hearts of young audiences as Bree, the loyal, high-spirited best friend of Addison (Meg Donnelly). She starred in Zombies (2018), Zombies 2 (2020), and Zombies 3 (2022).

Beyond the Zombies trilogy, she was a familiar face on television, appearing in popular Disney Channel series like Shake It Up and Good Luck Charlie. Her other television credits included guest spots on Southland, American Vandal, and iCarly.

Jeffery also showcased her comedic range outside of children’s programming by recurring as Keysha Black across two seasons of HBO’s critically acclaimed comedy Curb Your Enthusiasm.
