PSG vs. Monaco Results: Monaco Shock Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 at Parc des Princes
Paris Saint-Germain suffered a shock defeat on Friday night, slumping to a 1-2 loss at home against Monaco. With this victory, Monaco maintains their perfect run to remain top of the Ligue 1 table with 9 points.
Marquinhos scored the opener for the French and European champions in the 31st minute. However, the lead was canceled out by fellow Brazilian Flavio Mazinho’s 58th-minute equalizer. Monaco then went ahead to seal the win via Idumbo-Muzambo’s 71st-minute strike, securing all three points on the road.
The European champions are enduring a difficult start to the 2026/27 Ligue 1 season. PSG have managed only 2 points out of a possible 9, remaining winless in their first three games.
In the other Friday night fixture, Lyon defeated Auxerre 3-1 to sustain their strong form, keeping them second in the Ligue 1 standings.
