Dangote Refinery Announces Least Amount of Shares You Can Buy
The Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE is counting down to its much-awaited Initial Public Offering, which is due on September 14, 2026.
For potential investors, the company is putting the minimum subscription threshold at 10 ordinary shares at a retail entry price of N525 per share for individual shares. This amounts to N5,250 shares.
The Chief Executive Officer of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, announced this in Lagos on Monday.
The refinery intends to raise ₦2.15 trillion by floating 4.1 billion shares on the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX).
The transaction is expected to push the total market capitalisation of the NGX past the ₦200 trillion milestone.
Innovative Dividend Framework
To attract diverse capital, the Dangote Group plans an infrastructure that allows investors to purchase shares in Naira but receive dividend payouts in US dollars.
This structure is backed by the refinery’s heavy foreign exchange earnings from export pipelines.
