2010 World Cup winner, Xavi Hernandez, has been appointed head coach of the Netherlands national men’s football team.
The former Barca coach succeeds Dutch tactician Ronald Koeman, who stepped down after the Netherlands were knocked out of the 2026 World Cup by Morocco.
Incidentally, Xavi’s first European coaching job came after Koeman was sacked as Barcelona coach in October 2021.
This will be Xavi’s first national team job after beginning his coaching job in Qatar following an exceptionally successful playing career with FC Barcelona, where he was a club captain.
