The Senate Public Accounts Committee’s investigation into 2021–2023 NEITI oil and gas reports has stalled after key agencies, including the CBN and NDDC, failed to appear before the panel, according to reports.
Committee Chair Senator Ibrahim Dankwabo criticized the disregard for legislative summons, while members demanded sanctions for the failure to address audit queries.
The committee has issued a final ultimatum, rescheduling the hearing for August 6, 2026, to allow for compliance or trigger further action.
