Osun Election: Governor Adeleke Commends President Tinubu, Seeks Unity to Industrialise State
EDE, NIGERIA — Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for ensuring a peaceful and credible governorship election in the state.
Governor Adeleke, the Accord Party candidate, spoke in Ede shortly after being declared the winner of Saturday’s gubernatorial election. He described the outcome as a victory for democracy, stating that there is “no victor and no vanquished.”
From Civil Service to Industrial Hub
Adeleke unfolded his vision to transform Osun State from an economy dependent on civil service into an industrial powerhouse. He promised that his administration would drive balanced development across all zones of the state. “Our commitment remains fixed on building an industrialised Osun State where development reaches every single part,” Adeleke stated.
A Call for Unity
The Governor-elect urged his fellow contestants to accept the election results in good faith. He praised the citizens of Osun State for their peaceful conduct throughout the voting process.
Adeleke also expressed his gratitude to President Tinubu, revealing that the President had personally telephoned him to extend his congratulations.
