Nigeria’s stock market performance is currently second only to South Korea’s Kospi index—Bloomberg
According to Bloomberg data tracking of 92 global indexes, Nigeria’s stock market performance is currently second only to South Korea’s Kospi index.
Citing analysis from global asset manager T. Rowe Price Group Inc. Nigeria’s stock market is said to still offer lucrative entry points for investors.
In dollar-denominated returns, the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) All Share Index is said to have outpaced almost all global equity benchmarks this year.
Aggressive Economic Reforms
Among the reasons for this positive trajectory are the recent fiscal policy shifts and foreign exchange liberalization, which are driving renewed international investor interest.
The NGX has also seen its corporate earnings grow, with major listed firms posting resilient revenue figures despite macroeconomic headwinds.
These movements are influencing decisions of asset managers who are actively reshuffling portfolios to capture high-yield opportunities in emerging African markets.
