President Tinubu Returns to Abuja
ABUJA, NIGERIA — President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to depart Lagos for Abuja this evening, concluding a six-day official visit to the nation’s former capital, the State House has announced.
The President arrived in Lagos on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, following his annual vacation in London and Paris.
During his stay in Lagos, President Tinubu engaged in a number of high-profile national and cultural events, including his October 1 broadcast to mark Nigeria’s 66th Independence Day anniversary.
He was a guest at the MKO documentary premiere at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts and also paid a courtesy visit to the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Babatunde Akiolu, at the Iga Iduganran Palace on Lagos Island.
