Matthew Rhys also made Emmy history with two lead acting wins in one night. He won Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for Widow’s Bay and Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for Netflix’s The Beast in Me, becoming one of the night’s most talked-about winners.
Jean Smart added another milestone to her decorated career, winning Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Hacks. The victory took her career Emmy total to eight, placing her alongside some of television’s most awarded performers.

HBO Max’s medical drama The Pitt secured Outstanding Drama Series, reinforcing its status as a leading force in the drama category. Noah Wyle also repeated his success with a win for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.
